WHAT IS PLASMA PEN?
Plasma Pen is a non-invasive treatment that can improve the appearance of a range of skin concerns, including lines and wrinkles, stretch marks and acne scars. This hand-held device generates plasma where a visible smoke is produced due to the sublimating process. Sublimation is the physical term for the shift from solid to gas. The device heats the dermis in the targeted area, which begins to shed post treatment, allowing new fresher skin to form. At the same time, new collagen begins to form
HOW DOES IT WORK?

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?
You can expect to have some small red pin point spots in the area of treatment this heals over after 7 - 10 days.
You will have fresher skin with a reduced apearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun spots and some tightening in the area of treatment.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING MY TREATMENT?
We begin the treatment with a thorough double cleanse of the skin. This is followed by a powerful deep-cleansing raspberry exfoliant. we disinfect the area to be treated and if required we then apply numbing cream which we leave on for about 15 mins. We then use the hand held device to treat the desired area tightening, lifting and stimulating new collogen and elastin production. After this we apply a saline solution to clean the area followed with deeply penetrating hydrating serums and an SPF30+ sunscreen
IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?
A topical anaesthetic cream can be applied to your skin for 10-15 mins prior to your treatment to numb the skin. Depending on your pain threshold some clients may still feel the treatment, while others just feel a bit of pressure. Our aim is to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY TREATMENT?
You may experience some minor re spots in the area of treatment for 7-10 day post treatment but after this you should experience tightening of the eyelid and under eye, reduced fine lines and wrinkles and a reduction in sun spots. Your skin will also feel and look refreshed and revitalised due to the stimulation of fresh and healthy skin cells and collagen production
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
We recomend to start will 1 treatment. Depending on the desired result your wanting to acheive you may need another.
WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD I TAKE PRE AND POST TREATMENT?
We recommend wearing a daily sunscreen prior to your treatment to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays.
Please do not use any prescription Vitamin A for 1 week prior to your treatment.
We recommend no harsh acids or scrubs for at least 5 days post treatment.
Your dermal therapist will guide you on a recommended skin care program for your skin concerns.
We always recommend the daily use of SPF 30 sunscreen to prevent the skin becoming sun damaged. Please apply at least once every two hours when out in the sun to prevent post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation (PIH).
